Lebanese newspaper talks about Lebanon's refusal of Israeli security proposals
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 1/14/2000
The Lebanese newspaper Lewaa reported yesterday on Israeli proposals that it said were refused by Lebanon fo establish 10 early-warning centers after the occupation forces withdraw to be staffed by mult-national personnel with US leadership and with French participation.
The newspaper quoted informed Lebanese sources as saying that Lebanon prefers to develop the work of the international forces currently working in the south in cooperation with the Lebanese army and that Lebanon will demand to establish early warning centers in the occupied Palestinian lands in case of Israel's insistence on these centers in south Lebanon.
