Chicago mayor wants partnership with Casablanca

Chicago mayor, Richard Daley, voiced determination to foster partnership between the US city of Chicago and the Moroccan metropolitan city of Casablanca.
"We are determined to consolidate the friendship and cooperation ties with Casablanca," he told MAP bureau in Washington.
The official voiced satisfaction over the evolution of the partnership program between Chicago and Casablanca, which are bound by a twinning accord since 1986.
He added that he will spare no effort to consolidate coordination and contacts between the two cities' businessmen, researchers, industrialists and artists.
"We are very proud of joint actions in cultural, technical and medical fields," he said, adding that several projects are underway between the two cities.
"There are enormous business and cooperation opportunities between the two cities, which are called to foster rapprochement to take up together globalization challenges."
