Prince Moulay Rachid in funeral of King Juan Carlos' mother

Prince Moulay Rachid attended Thursday at the San Lorenzo Monastery of El Escurial, 65 km north of Madrid, the funeral ceremony of Maria de Las Mercedes de Bourbon and Orleans, Countess of Barcelona and mother of King Juan Carlos I of Spain.
Prince Moulay Rachid also attended at the Royal Basilica of El Escurial a religious ceremony, presided by the Spanish monarchs.
After the ceremony, Prince Moulay Rachid went to the Royal palace in Madrid, where he offered the condolences of King Mohammed VI and of the Moroccan people to King Juan Carlos.
He also attended a banquet offered by the kings of Spain in the honor of the representatives of the monarchies who participated in the funerals of Dona Maria de las Mercedes, who passed away at the age of 89.
