Portuguese foreign minister arrives in the region

Portugal's foreign minister will arrive on Monday in Egypt on an official visit which will last for two days in the framework of his tour of the Middle East.
The tour will cover also Syria, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinian territories, in his capacity of the chairman of the current rotating presidency of the European Union.
An official source at the Portuguese embassy in Cairo said that Portuguese Foreign Minister Jaime Gama will hold on Tuesday with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa talks on the latest developments concerning the Middle East peace process in light of the results of the negotiations held between Syria and Israel in Washington and measures taken to carry out the peace agreements signed between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
