Syria, France for strengthening parliamentary relations

A round of talks was held in Damascus on Wednesday between the Syrian- French Parliamentary Friendship Society led by Bassel Dahdouh and a French parliamentary delegation including two members of the French Senate.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed parliamentary relations between the two countries and the role played by the two friendship societies in the two countries' parliaments to foster these relations in the interests of the people of France and Syria.
The French delegation is currently visiting Syria in the course of a tour covering several Middle East states.
