Egyptian defense minister to make statement before People's Assembly on Sunday

Marshal Mohammed Hussein Tantawi, the general commandor of Egypt's armed forces and Egyptian minister of defense and military production, is to deliver a statement on Sunday before the joint meeting of the defense, national security, foreign relations and Arab affairs committees in the People's Assembly.
In his statement, Tantawi will tackle the development of the armed forces and its role in pushing the comprehensive peace forward in the Middle East with what achieves the national interests in Egypt and stability in the area.
