Mauritanian strategy for combating poverty

Mauritanian Minister of Economic Affairs and Development Mohammed Ould El Nany said his country has drawn up an ambitions strategy to combat poverty that extends through the coming 15 years, 2000 - 2015.
He added that his country's strategy is based on four goals: hastening economic growth, enhancing the competitive capability of the economy, the rapid improvement of poverty indicators, engaging the complete participation of citizens, developing the governments' programs and land reclamation.
He added that this strategy will combat poverty in Mauritania.
