Sudanese president to visit Bahrain, Yemen

A Sudanese daily published on Wednesday said that Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will visit Yemen on Saturday and then Bahrain in the course of his efforts to strengthen ties between Arab and African states.
The Sudanese daily al-Sahafi al-Daouli added that President al-Bashir will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael and Finance Minister Abdul Wahab Othman.
On December 31, 1999, the Sudanese president announced he had accepted the resignation of the government and a new government has not been formed yet.
The Sudanese paper added that al-Bashir's visits to Yemen and Bahrain fall in the course of improving Sudan's foreign relations following the decisions taken by President al-Bashir on December 12 to dissolve the parliament chaired by Hassan Turabi and to announce a state of emergency.
