Ruler of Bahrain meets with Sheikh Zayed

Bahraini Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa met in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan and reviewed with him relations between the two states and Arab, regional and international issues.
Bahraini official sources said the two leaders discussed the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council and underlined the "importance of giving a push forward to its mechanism in order to meet the ambitions of the GCC people towards further progress and prosperity."
The Bahraini sources added that the ruler of Bahrain discussed with the UAE President current developments in the Arab and international arenas, especially amid efforts being exerted to achieve Arab solidarity and realize the objectives of the Arab states for joint Arab work.
Meanwhile, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed al-Nahyan said that Sheikh Zayed hailed during the meeting "the reconciliation and rapprochement between the state of Bahrain and Qatar."
