Libya backs Morocco's world cup bid
Libya-Morocco, Sports, 1/12/2000

Libya said it backs Morocco's bid to host the final rounds of the 2006 World Cup.

Libya's official news agency JANA said the Libyan authorities support fellow Arab nation, Morocco, in its efforts to bring the planetary competition to Arab land for the first time in history.

Meanwhile, Burkina Faso's President, Blaise Compaore, renewed Ougadougou's backing to the Moroccan bid.

All Arab countries and several African ones back the Moroccan candidature.

Morocco is bidding with South Africa, Brazil, England and Germany to host the World Cup.
