Port traffic increases by 8.5% in january-november 99

Traffic in Moroccan ports increased by 8.5% between January and November 99, with a total volume of 48.3 million tons, says the equipment ministry.
Imports which stood for 54.7% of this volume progressed by 18% while imports grew by 4.8% between 98 and 99.
The Casablanca port remains the most dynamic in Morocco with 9 million tons of exports and 8 million tons of imports, trailed by the neighboring port of Mohammedia (6.5 million tons of imports and 2.5 million tons of exports). The port of Jorf Lasfar (El Jadida) is the third largest port in the country with imports totaling 4 million tons and exports totaling 2.5 million tons.
