Lebanon will not take part in multilateral talks

Lebanon on Tuesday expressed reservations toward the call addressed to it to take part in multilateral negotiations due in Moscow in the beginning of February.
A Lebanese Foreign Ministry source said that Lebanon retains the right to make reservations unless bilateral talks with Israel achieve substantial progress.
The US ambassador and the Russian charge de affairs in Beirut had earlier extended an invitation by the peace cosponsors to the acting secretary general of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry to attend the multilateral round.
