Israeli plan to expel Christians from occupied Jerusalem
Regional-Israel, Politics, 1/11/2000
The Arab League is making consultations with the Middle East Council of Churches and with some of the concerned parties in confronting Israeli plans aimed removing the Christians from occupied Jerusalem.
Sources in the Arab League said these communications come days before an agreement on the final formula to be raised at the Arab foreign ministers council which will be held in Cairo in the coming month that will discuss the continuous Israeli procedures for Judaizing the holy city.
The sources said many Arab and Palestinian circles expressed strong anxiety toward the official report issued by the Christians of the city saying they immigrate from it to all over the West Bank and to outside Palestine.
