King Mohammed amnesties 1,196 detainees

King Mohammed VI amnestied 1,196 persons on the occasion of the Aid Al-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
Full amnesty on the remaining of the detention sentence was granted to 566 persons, while 552 others had their jail terms reduced.
Five detainees were granted a commutation of their life jail into a limited sentence.
The king also amnestied 42 persons, while maintaining their fines, and 17 others were pardoned and had their fines canceled.
The king grants amnesty to inmates on the occasion of religious and national days.
