Report: Cabinet reshuffle in Jordan
Jordan, Politics, 1/10/2000
The Jordanian daily al-Arab al-Youm said on Sunday that the Jordanian prime minister has started his consultations to make the expected reshuffle on his government. The paper noted that making such a reshuffle was postponed until the beginning of next week because of the travel of Jordan's King Abdullah to Austria.
The paper expected, according to governmental sources, that the three deputy prime ministers will keep their posts, five ministers will leave the Cabinet and transformations will take place in certain ministries.
The paper continued that it has become evident that Fayez al-Tarawneh will be appointed as a chairman of the royal court in succession of Abdul Karim al-Kabareiti.
