Moroccan cinema producers satisfied with new draft law on motion picture

The Moroccan chamber of movie producers (CMPF) has welcomed a draft law on cinema industry adopted recently by the education, cultural and social affairs committee of the chamber of advisors (upper chamber of the parliament).
For the CMPF vice-president and secretary general, the draft is very promising while another movie directors "logic and realism" have prevailed and the representatives have understood the motivations behind amendments requested by the film producers.
They also expected that the sector would thrive in a clearer legal framework, arguing that the precedent text was rather a security law providing only sanctions.
