France Backs Morocco's World Cup Bid, French Daily Reports

France has decided to back Morocco's bid to host the 2006 World Cup, France Soir daily reported on Thursday. France decided to used its diplomatic relations with third world countries to back King Mohammed VI in this endeavor, the daily said.
Morocco is competing with South Africa, Germany, England and Brazil to host the World Cup. This is the third Moroccan bid after 1994 and 1998.
