King Fahd, Crown Prince Abdullah call for building strong economic blocs

King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia and Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz have called on the Arab and Islamic states to build solid economic blocs and revitalize their standing organizations, on the regional, Arab and Islamic levels to be a strong force in contributing to a greater role in "our contemporary age."
In a speech delivered on their behalf by Saudi Minister of Information Fuad Abdul Salam al-Faresi via Saudi radio and television, the Saudi King and crown prince said the economy, in the past and the present, is considered one of the most effective elements in life and that Muslims, if they can perform their due role, will be able to be prosperous and powerful.
