Syrian-Israeli negotiations are serious
Syria-Israel, Politics, 1/7/2000
The Israeli minister for Jerusalem affairs, Haim Ramon, has described the atmosphere of the Syrian- Israeli peace talks currently being held in the US town of Shepherdstown as very serious.
AP quoted Ramon as saying in exclusive statements that the Americans are trying to bridge the gaps between the two sides and they are trying to work seriously on that.
Ramon added that Israel will not accept a middle solution concerning its security, adding that reaching a peace agreement will require at least several months of negotiations.
