Al-Sharaa will stay in Shepherdstown to exert all efforts for peace
Syria, Politics, 1/7/2000

The London-based al-Hayat daily quoted Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa as saying that he will stay in Shepherdstown until all efforts are made to achieve a progress in the framework of realizing a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

A Syrian source told the paper al-Sharaa's statement as saying that "as far as there is a need to work, the Syrian delegation is available." The source expected the talks to continue for 10 days.
