Morocco's Olympic football team to play Holland in trial match
Morocco-Netherlands, Sports, 1/6/2000
The Moroccan Olympic football team will play this Thursday a trial match against Holland in Al-Jadida, 200 km south of Rabat.
The Moroccan squad is preparing for the coming rounds of the African preliminary heats for the 2000 Olympic games, to be held in Sydney, Australia.
The Moroccans have so far played two matches in their group. They won the first against Egypt 1-0 in Rabat and lost the second 1-4 against Cote D'Ivoire in Abidjan.
The defeat prompted the dismissal of French coach Henri Michel, who still heads the Moroccan first team.
Michel was replaced in the olympic squad by Said Al-Khaidar, a Moroccan who coached several local teams.
