Phone calls between Barak and Mubarak
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 1/6/2000
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received a phone call from Israeli Prime Minsiter Ehud Barak from the headquarters of the current negotiations (in the USA) between the Syrian and Israeli governments, as Barak informed President Mubarak about the most recent results of the peace process between the two sides in the USA.
Egyptian sources said Barak assured Mubarak that, "The negotiations are achieving a remarkable progress despite some obstacles," and that Mubarak said that the peace process requires brave decisions and that issues of conflict will not be solved without presenting concessions.
