Israel continues attacks against south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 1/6/2000

The Israeli occupation forces and their SLA militia agents imposed a siege on Wednesday on the occupied Lebanese town on Bint Jbeil and arrested five of its citizens. News reports from south Lebanon said the five detainees are university students, including Muhammad Ali Said Bazi, Muhammad Kamal Saad and Jawad Bassem Sharara.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli forces renewed their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon and its western Bekaa.

Lebanese security sources said the occupation forces on Wednesday morning machine-gunned Meimas and the orchards of Ein Qenyeh, the central mountain and Ein Qenia's surroundings.

The Israeli forces also fired on the al-Dallafeh and Litani river areas in the western Bekaa. The Israeli artillery positioned in al-Sweida bombarded on Tuesday night the woods of Sujoud, the Litani River's course and Arab Salim.
