Fatah fighters to be taken from Lebanon to Palestinian self-rule territories

The Jordanian daily al-Arab al-Youm said that contacts are being made between the Palestinian government and the Israeli government and have reached an advanced stage on bringing hundreds of the Fatah movement fighters from Lebanon to the Palestinian self-rule territories.
The paper added that those Fatah fighters, who number 1,612 including Col. Sultan Abu al-Einin, are expected to be transported via Cyprus, saying that this step is expected to contribute to advancing the peace process on south Lebanon forward, as there is a time plan to unify the ranks of the families of those fighters.
