Islamic Salvation Army retreats from freezing its operations in Algeria
Algeria, Politics, 1/5/2000
The leadership of the prohibited Algerian Islamic Salvation Front said that its armed wing decided to suspend its decision to freeze its operations.
A statement issued by the front said the decision comes in reply to the Algerian authorities' decision to deprive 200 of the front's warriors who surrendered to the Algerian authorities of their civil rights.
It added that in anticipation of any possibility, the front's armed wing said the general mobilization in its lines comes as three persons were killed by a hand grenade when a car passed in Medea province in southwest Algeria.
