Israel and Palestine sign agreement on second stage of withdrawal

The Palestinian government and Israel signed a long-postponed agreement concerning the Israeli withdrawal from more land in the West Bank.

In a joint statement issued on this occasion, the two sides signed the withdrawal from 5% of the West Bank, from which Israel will withdraw during the coming two days.

This withdrawal stopped for two months after the Palestinian objection on the location of the lands from which Israel offered to withdraw.

This agreement paves the way for another Israeli withdrawal that may take place in the current month that could put in Palestinian hands 40% of the West Bank lands.
