Lebanese premier receives telephone call from Russian FM

Lebanese Premier and Foreign Minister Salim al-Hoss on Tuesday received a telephone call from Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov.
Official sources in Beirut said that discussions during the telephone conversation dealt with the peace process in the region.
Ivanov stressed Russia's backing for this process and its readiness to maintain an effective role in order to reach a just and comprehensive solution.
The sources added that Ivanov expressed to al-Hoss his thanks over measures taken to protect the premises of the Russian embassy in Beirut.
