Jordanian-Israeli joint industrial zone

The Israeli Ministry of the Environment has recently approved the establishment of a joint Jordanian- Israeli industrial zone in the Jordan Valley after Israel had opposed the establishment of such a zone during the three past years.
Israeli Radio said on Tuesday that the dispute pertained to the area of the land 500 meters deep in the Israeli territories and that Jordan's agreement to have the area within the Jordanian territories helped settle the matter.
Israeli Radio added that movement from the Israeli territories to the Jordanian territories in the industrial area will be through a bridge in the region.
