Joint water projects between Jordan and Syria

Jordanian Minister of Water and Irrigation Kamal Mahadin announced the commencement of the executive steps to build the El-Wehda Dam, in whose establishment Jordan and Syria will participate, on Yarmouk river in April.
Mahadin added that El-Wehda Dam is ready for implementation after the signing of an agreement with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development to finance the project.
The value of the loan covers nearly 70% of the project's total costs, estimated at nearly 120 million Jordanian dinars.
