Moroccan artist granted prestigious French distinction

Mehdi Qotbi, a Moroccan painter based in France, was made knight of the honor legion, upon a proposal by French president Jacques Chirac. The news was published in the French official gazette.
Mehdi Qotbi, a renowned painter and calligrapher, has undertaken several initiatives to consolidate friendship between Morocco and France. He chairs the French-Moroccan friendship circle.
