Mubarak to visit Jordan in the middle of January

An official source at the Jordanian royal court said that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will pay a visit to a Jordan in the middle of this month, during which he will hold talks with Jordan's King Abdullah II on means of coordinating Arab efforts and stances, the latest developments concerning the Arab- Israeli peace process and means of consolidating bilateral relations between Cairo and Amman.
Hani Riadh, the Egyptian ambassador in Amman, said in press statements today that preparations are currently being made for President Mubarak's scheduled tour of some of the area's countries, but its details and stops are not determined.
Riadh said the goals of this tour are represented in discussing the latest developments in the Middle East peace process and means of supporting the Arab negotiating tracks, as well as finding cooperation among these tracks in addition to the approach in points of view among the different parties.
