Message from Clinton to ruler of Qatar

Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani has received a message from US President Bill Clinton dealing with cooperation relations between the two countries and issues of common interests. The Gulf News Agency said the US ambassador to Doha on Sunday handed Sheikh Hamad the message.
Meanwhile, Bahraini Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa has also received a similar message from President Clinton. The message expressed President Clinton's congratulations on the successful summit meeting between the rulers of Qatar and Bahrain.
President Clinton asserted, in his message, the US backing for the agreement signed between the two countries for the development and prosperity of the Gulf region.
